Outstanding! This is a great way to tackle this complex series. With so many possible reverses and die pairings, your approach should help facilitate new discoveries. Congratulations on your new site and on your long standing commitment to this series.

have been looking for a place to discuss Victorian cent varieties. am way behind the rest of you but I have hoarded Canadian varities for 25 years. I have many 1c doubled dies, clashes, and repunched dates. some of my finds were published in Canadian coin news and world coin news in articles by ken potter. am anxious to share info back and forth.
We recomment the forum Canadian Copper Coins as the place to go to discuss 1859 cent attributions and varieties. Ed
Very exciting, can't wait to do a test drive with my 1859's.
I am very impressed .. I ran a couple items through and it's grand! Since you didn't have time to specifically examine all the coins I sent you due to time constraints, I'll look at those you marked "unseen" and let you know if anything is new. Anyway, Dr Haxby, it looks like a wonderful effort. I'll keep in touch.
Terrific, Jim. I'll run my narrow 9's and see if I have any you don't list.
Congratulations on your new book and thank you for sharing it with all of us on your web page. This will be a very useful tool for the 1859 Queen Victoria large variety collectors for years to come. Thanks again its very appreciated
Congratulations on a major achievement. Your efforts will be long enjoyed by both current and future collectors. This was no easy task!
WOW!!! Jim what a masterpiece! Lots of candles must of been burned in order for you to accomplish this work. This is going to be a very enjoyable site. Congratulation
Congratulations,Jim, for an exciting tool for use in our hobby/ avocation.
This refrigerator is truly cool and the box is the best. Thanks
Thank you Jim for this wonderful website. Your hard work and contributions are never ending and ever appreciated. Congratulations!
What a fantastic site. I am looking forward to spending many hours cataloging my small hoard of 1859 cents. Thank you for all your efforts and those of your contributors. WOW!!!
Absolutely excellent, the launch is as successful as anticipated. This is a huge step forward for the hobby.
Thanks for your work Jim!
This monumental labour of love will prove a godsend to the numismatic community. Awesome.
I had a great time testing this site and it is only the demo! Can't wait to see the full Monty operational, it will be a riot (numismatically speaking).
Jim, as I wander around the site, I find new things to see, read, and make use of. The more i look and learn, the more I find to learn.
Your site makes all this possible!
You will be long remembered, for all your great work, and limitless efforts to provide something for generations to come.
My heartiest congratulations!
Wow!!! amazing work and information. Thank you for this website.
Thanks so much for this Dr. Haxby.
I saw Randy Ash's writeup in latest CN Journal (thanks for that too Randy), and now I'm diving into your well organized website. I'm 2 for 2 on matching up my 59's, which probably like most everyone else, have been just sitting and waiting around in piles to be recognized in full.
I saw the notice about this site in the RCNA Journal. The work and detail is wonderful. It is a great help to anyone who is interested in the varieties of these coins, and an inspiration to anyone who wants to do this type of work with any other type or series. Congratulations, and best wishes.
Wow! the info is very refreshing, nice website.
Well one thing I assume is that you spent more spare time with Victoria than your wife during these last couple of years. She also has to be in love with you as much as you with Vicky.
Thanks to both of you for all the efforts that went into this.
Great site! Thanks for all your hard work! I have lots of work to do now with my 1859's.
Wonderful effort Jim! Now I can find out what is really in my 200 plus 1859 Large cents. Congrats!
Thank you so very much for this incredible site! I recommend it to all my contacts in numismatics - even those who do not collect 1859s - because it is an absolutely fantastic master work in how to categorize and organize a series.
And once they see it they might decide to start collecting them. It's that addicting!
Amazing work ..!! ..and what a resource for all who collect 59's.
Much appreciated... and as a new 59 collector,..you make it ..a so much more exacting endeavor thanks to this wonderful method of accurate ID's.
I would like to personally thank the Haxby team for all the information that has been SETUP, ONGOING and STILL TO COME.
Also the help that has been forthcoming to me personally.
What else can anyone say but totally "AWESOME".
